Like many others, Clif’s love of the NC mountains began as a summer visitor and quickly transitioned into the purchase of a vacation home and ultimately a full-time residence. Active and outdoors-oriented, Clif enjoys hiking, mountain-biking, and working outside on his property at the base of Shortoff Mountain. After making Highlands his full-time home, he quickly became involved in the community and supports the arts in Highlands, including serving on the Highlands Playhouse Board. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University with a degree in Economics and a degree in Education from Florida State University. Clif started his career in real estate after 25 years in banking and most recently as an elementary teacher. During his corporate career, he relocated many times, living both domestically and internationally and building a portfolio of income properties. Through these experiences, Clif learned the importance of working with a real estate professional who could add true value and operated with unquestionable integrity. He brings that insight, experience, and professionalism to all his client relationships.
A NC native, Doug acquired his love for the mountains through frequent family camping trips to the area. He attended Appalachian State Univ. in Boone, NC where he graduated with a degree in Marketing. Always the entrepreneur, Doug founded a highly successful business in international trade and quickly learned the key to success is uncompromising customer service. Doug later sold that business, bought a 2nd home in the Highlands area, and began investing in local real estate. In addition to raw land investments, he also began restoring and re-styling homes as well as building new homes for resale, developing a high level of expertise along the way. In 1998, that business became official with a Broker’s License (both in NC & GA) and full-time residency in Highlands. Doug knows uncompromising customer service is still key to his success.
I started my Real Estate career in the 80’s in Edmond, Oklahoma. I discovered Highlands in 2000, when my husband Bob purchased a business here. Living here full time brought a new and exciting change to selling homes as I continued my career. I genuinely care about my clients and focus on their needs and objectives. I strive to build lifelong relationships and friendships by providing unparalleled service, advice, marketing and creativity. I call many of my client’s friends and will focus on their needs and listen to what they say. I love Highlands and have been a Board Member of the Hudson Library and the Bascom Preforming Art Center. I am a member and past President of the Laurel Garden Club and a member of the Highlands Bridge Club. We have a daughter who is a Realtor in Charlotte and a son who is a Producer at ESPN’s SEC Network in Charlotte. We have 3 grandchildren who love to visit us in Highlands
